Getting started with Androidâ„¢ development

You want to start programming for your Androidâ„¢ phone? You want to earn some extra money and bring your app to the app-stores? You don't know where to start? You don't have too much time and don't know how much time it will take you? There are already a lot of resources on the web that you can read - but I didn't find one yet which can easily be followed by some sort of time-line. I was asking myself those questions for quite a long time before I sat down and read all those websites and tutorials. From this experience I wanted to create an android crash course which gives everybody a good overview in just a few days without spending too much time on reading hundreds of pages just to know whether this could be the right thing for you or not ...

This tutorial is designed to teach you all the android basics that you need in just 10 days - investing only 1 hour each day/evening.

When you have completed this class you are able to write small android programs, you have a good overview of the android SDK and the technology and you can estimate how much effort it will be to do a professional project and what steps will all be necessary to sell your first app on android market.

I will also try to make screencasts and video explanations as often as possible. Before writing this tutorial I installed the SDK's of most other popular phones ... but in my opinion getting started with android SDK is much easier than any other platform! So I keep the introduction really short ... and let's get started with Android classes - Day 1 - Installing the SDK

PS: If this tutorial is/was helpful to you, it would be nice, that you put a link in your blog or website to this page ... thx.
